You could have relieved the pressure in the tank by unscrewing the cap. 14,110 ft is pretty high.
Now you need to find the source of the leak. Pull up the carpet in the trunk. There are 2 access plates, open the one closest to the filler neck. That is for the fuel level sender and is modt prone to a seal being old and cracked. Sniff for gasoline or see if there is liquid gasoline around it.
The other area is the vent tubing from the tank to the top of the filler pipe. It is flexible and also prone to cracking near the tank end. Inspect this from under the car. It is replaceable and a DIY project.
