Engine power loss V70-XC70 1998

The relay is in the engine fuse box, numbered 103. If the relay is inop, the fuel pump doesn't work. Just listen for the fuel pump noise, which is only for a second or two every time the key goes to position II.

Let's hope it is the relay, the fuel pump is a MAJOR operation to replace and costly.
If your fuel filter hasn't been replaced yet, now is a good time to start thinking about it. Volvospeed.com has a pretty good write up, but I am being too lazy to look it up for you :)
