Reminds me of the time I picked up a 164 with a Jeep Wrangler. The 164 on the dolly tried to pass me at only 35 mph! Fortunately, I could take local city streets for the 20 mile trip home.
A car dolly is fine behind a Suburban or full size pickup truck that can easily tow 7500lbs unbraked, but the V70 has a limit of 3500lbs and to be safe, I suggest a weight under 3K, including trailer weight. I sure wouldn't go 2400 miles! That's a 3 day trip at 60mph. For that many miles, do NOT use a car dolly, full trailer with tandem axles and electric brakes only, regardless of the towing vehicle.
How often do you see the turkys hauling a potential disaster behind their motor homes? A $200,000 RV and the owner scrimps with a dolly????? Brainless...
