Tips on head gasket change V70-XC70 1998

A battery that has been dead for three years must be replaced. If you try to charge it, it might short and cause serious problems. If you charge it, do it outside!!

There should be pics all over the WWW of engine bays with the LPT engine.

Put a table spoon of oil in each cylinder so it soaks through the rings before you put the head on.

Verify the mark on the crank pully is still correct.

Don't bother painting the exhaust, it gets over 500F at times.

The intake manifold is cast aluminum, not shiney. Just clean it with a brush.
