Klaus,

What causes LMS? I have a '96 850 n/a with a 5 speed manual. At about 270K miles, without warning the car cranked but would not start. I had the car towed to my private garage. They checked the spark plugs and found them to wet with gasoline. They cleaned them up and the car ran fine. If I experienced LMS, it happened when I parked the car in the garage as usual and then the next morning it would not start. This incident happened about a year ago, and crossing my fingers, has not occurred since. This incident had never happened before either.
