I've heard that XC90's have a lot of problems ... V70-XC70

I'm not a fan of Consumer Reports for the "fun" aspect of cars -- they tend to think of them as appliances rather than "fun" machines, which is how I look at my cars.

However, that magazine is the best objective measure of reliability, given their huge sample sizes, which dwarf any anecdotal comments that you might read on this forum. So solely regarding reliability, that's the source to check.
