Don't have direct experience, but I can say the newer body style 2008+'s are heavier (a friend has a 2011 T6). This is pure speculation here as I don't really know if the extra power of the 6 cylinder makes it faster than the older body style with the 5 cylinder. Maybe it is somewhat of wash?? However, I can say with certainty that my friend's 2011 T6 is the fastest Volvo I've ever driven!
