Yup, had to replace the flex pipe on the Passat about a 1 1/2 years ago. No complaints - lasted 220k. The exhaust on both cars has been remarkably long lasting! The flex pipe is the only exhaust part I’ve replaced on the Passat. On the 850 (same 2.4 NA engine as your car), the only exhaust part I ever replaced was the rear hanger through 250k of ownership....

Will I buy another Volvo??? We'll see....
