When crunching the numbers to decide whether to re-engine it or dump it don’t forget that you would likely want to replace the clutch, new rear main seal, some new hoses, belts (timing belt is likely 10+ years old), new motor mounts, and …… well, I think you get the picture.
Then on the other hand, a nice 850 with a manual can be a desirable car. Plus I’m hearing all about how car values are currently swayed in sellers favor right now, making a replacement car more expensive. Not sure if that is really the situation or not.
