Crankshaft Sprocket misaligned? V70-XC70 2007

Update: After a couple days P0017 returned even though power and MPG seem very good! I also have Volvo diagnostic of ECM 671C which is exhaust timing "high".

Thinking I could have missed the crank TDC again, I went back in for reset #2, only this time I took an enlarged close-up photo and could identify the notches marked the valley carefully and did the reset! Locking cams, checking the sprocket positions of the previous timing marks while making very slight sprocket adjustments. My thought at the time "These are not that far off!"

Hoping for the best the P0017 came right back, I am again suspecting the exhaust VVT or what damage might occur if "black out" the CEL?

Appointment has been made with Bavarian Auto Sports this Fri. and he is thinking possible timing? I did not have ECM 671C at that time!
