Hi "someone claiming to be Hugh",
You should consider supporting Brickboard.

Just cut off the old lamp leads where they are welded to the end of the
pins. Then the old lamp will release and there's holes to thread the
wire leads of the 14V grain of wheat bulb in position. Cut to the right length
and solder with a small iron.

One time I needed to run a wire drill through to open the holes
in a lamp like this.
Maybe a hot hatpin would have done it too. It's not a big deal.
