S80 and V70 models with problems including ETM, transmission, strut, door lock, emissions, and ABS S80

Fellow frustrated Volvo owners,

Several fellow Volvo owners are collaborating in trying to get Volvo to make things right.

We need to know your stories with 98-01 model years of S80, V70, and or CrossCountry. There are numerous reports from you of problems. We're trying to get counts to produce statistics and frequency of problems, related expenses, dealer responses, etc.

Please send your story to volvo.s80.owners@gmail.com

Help us help you and each other. Your stats will be combined to help get Volvo to fix these issues, but your identity will be kept secret.

We hope to hear from you, and we will keep you apprised of developments.

Best regards.

FYI only, sure......I know, others know and Volvo definately knows of ALL the problems with ALL of their cars. They cover all those parts under factory warranty and many fail while still under warranty. ALL newer cars have problems. Those with extended warranties buy some extra time too.
Realize that if Volvo and all the other guys decided to cover ALL their known parts issues forever, they'd either be out of business or they'd need to seriously raise prices for all future cars to stay alive. Personally, I'll continue to drive older cars that don't share the costly parts problems that newer cars do....for as long as I can.
