Congratulations.

Irv Gordan averaged 34,000-35,000 miles a year on his 1966 1800S to reach the 1,000,000-mile mark last year. That's 29 years. If my calculations are correct, you should beat him by 9 years at your current rate. Keep doing what ever your doing cause it sure seems to work.

Keep on rollin Breadboy.

dude youre way behind the times. irv is well over 2 million miles. i talked to him at a car show this summer and he told me hes going to do a 100000 this year alone. also, ive put on 310000 miles in the last 6 years. my averages are skewed down by the original owners paltry 80,000 miles in the first 4 years.

WHAY TA GO !!! Get some show off badges ( Mileage ) on your car. Pretty sure so far you are the highest 850 I have heard of on the Brick Board and to think it is also a work horse.

Let in on some secrets what has been the maintenace or driving actions you have done. again very impressive

I believe that Breadboy got lucky in getting the ultimate anti-lemon vehicle. We've all asked him about his maitenance schedule and he'll most likely say again that nothing done was unusual. He tends to only work on things that are broken and very little preventative maitenance except for timing belt, oil changes and the like. It's nice to see one of these on the road with so many miles...gives us all hopes in keeping our bricks for many years to come.

I know the feeling Made in Japan, my car has been running very well and I don't know why. 1994 850 turbo sedan. I have 312,000 miles although I did put in a new trans at 301,000. I got the itch for a V70R, but can't justify it. More on the suject... oil changes every 3000-3500 miles. and fix what breaks
