All you have to do is remove the charged air hose from the back of the engine and move it out of the way...no need to take both ends off. You can push it/wedge it into one of the crevices in the engine bay and then take the cover off of the intake camshaft (the plastic piece) and you'll see where the plugs go in. they are pretty deep so be careful. I know IPD and groton sells a special plug wrench for this that holds the plug in place with a rubber stopper so you don't drop it in the well and have the danger of chipping a part off into the engine. Also I would recommend using anti-sieze compound on the threads and dielectric grease on the porcelain body of the plugs. I'd personally use the Bosch platinum (#FR7DP) spark plug (.040" gap for your year T5 and .028" gap for my '98...same plug). The plat. plugs are cheaper (about $4.00 each) than the iradium plugs and don't burn as hot...copper is too soft and doesn't last so long IMHO. Also tighten to 25Nm or 18.5lbf-ft. Guess that's about it...good luck!
