Moisture in Front Lamp S80

I have a 01 S80, the Front lamp has a crying problem when it rains..moisture is trapped on the inside of the lamp glass..Anyone knows the proper way to remove the lamp unit or maybe a shadetree fix to seal the lamp unit.. Thanks in Advance for all inputs..I found a replacement online for $300.00, but i still will need the insructions on how to install it..

before you get too involved, there is a volvo "fix" which is on all the new cars. There is a replacement "ventilated" bulb cap which has a special cloth covered opaning which lets the moisture out. Worked for me. You could use 2 per side for the fastest fix response. Changing the whole assy is expensive and requires partially removing the bumper cover to get at it. DO NOT attempt to wipe off the reflector. The surface is very fragile and you will damage it.

2001 and up came with the gore-tex inserts from the factory. You can tell by the rectangle on the headlamp covers closest to the radiator.

KYVOLVO,
You're welcome. I think the fabric used is gore-tex. Semipermeable.
