98 V70 T5M, Instrument Cluster, Unknown Display

In the computer section of my instrument cluster, I normally display the ambient temperature. Recently I saw the following letters appear several times, even though I did not change the data selection: "disc"

Each time this occurred, the data returned to ambient temperature after a short time.

I checked my owner's manual without success.

Can anyone tell me what "disc" signifies?

Someone else'll tell ya' too. DISConnected. As in the main unit. Some guys have taken it apart and cleaned contact and di-electric greased it and it worked.

Beiner's right on the money. This causes no functional problems, just a bad display. Try working it thru the ranges a number of times. Just a dirty switch.
