Climate Control Blower? 850 1996

Hey Brickboarders...........

I have a 1996 850 turbo wagon with 95000 miles on it. LOVE this car, HOWEVER, about 2 weeks ago the climate control (heat this time of year) blower fan started making a LOUD screaking noise. It sounded like bearings going bad. Yesterday, the blower would not come on at all, and the AC/REC lights were blinking indicating the system error. Can anyone offer advice? Please confirm what the problem may be, and if there are any resonable "fixes" for this problem.

    Climate Control Blower? 850 1996

    Probably the motor in the blower motor seized up. You should read the codes for the blinking lights and see if this is the code you get. Information on reading the code for this is in the maintenance (Bay13) section of the following site:
