Vibration from engine in drive, Smooth as silk in neutral or reverse 850

Lately I have noticed a vibration that can be felt in the cabin. It only
does this in Drive, Neutral and reverse are fine. Is this a possible motor
mount issue?
Thanks
Burt

I am having a similiar problem with 98' S70, so this seemed like a good place to post it. The top mount was replaced with IPD blue silicon bushing and has no effect. When you start to move forward, there is an slight vibration that is felt all through the cabin, but only last about the first second and it's never felt at any other speed. It does happen in reverse too, but in neutral or park, and rev the engine, there is not effect. It's does the same thing when cold or hot. If it is one of the other mounts, how do I check to see if it is broken and if so, are they that difficult to replace?

Thank you to everyone who gave advise. Turned out to be the motor mount.
I ordered one from FCP of Groton.
    Thanks and Happy New Year!

Sounds like the upper motor mount--easy to check, see if the 'spokes' are cracked. You can either replace with an OEM or the polyurethane version you can get from IPD or FCP Groton. I did the poly version, much easier to install and permanent. Some say it transmits more vibration to the cabin, but I couldn't notice it...about a 20 minute job to install.

I'd have to agree 100%. You're better off with the poly mount on these 850's...some of the later cars are more harsh with them and some prefer the rubber bushings.

Does it vibrate only when idling in drive (foot on brake/emergency brake) or all the time when in drive (stopped & idling, slow speeds, fast speeds)?
