ever since I had the factory recall work done on the 850 heated seats, they just don't seem to ever get warm. Does anyone have DIY details on how to reverse the work the dealer did, and what, if any, parts I need to replace? I'll be damned if I am going to pay my local dealer to reverse what never should've been prescribed in the first place, just because somebody with a tender butt got burned.

    What's this about a seat heater recall? I bought a used 1995 850 turbo about 6 months ago with heated seats.

    I had my seats fixed by the dealer because of the recall and they work fine. In fact, the drivers seat had quit heating up, and now I drive nice and toasty!

      One thing that I've noticed is that my 855's seats are much warmer, almost hot, than my '98 XC's. I'm guessing Volvo decided to turn it down a bit after the recall. The recall's parts probably use a lower watt element. Any one else know the specifics?

    If you had the work done at the dealer and it is less than 1 year ago, go back and ask them to fix your cold seats.
