'BRAKE' warning lamp flickers - 2000 V40 S40-V40

2000 V40, 75K miles

The "BRAKE" warning lamp on the instrument panel has been flickering on and off. It comes on and goes off right away. The brake fluid level is full. It seems to happen when the temperature is below 35 degrees F and especially going around curves. Has anyone experience this or any idea of the cause?

Going around curves? Unless the traction control system is being activated, really aggressive driving, there is no reason for the brake system to be on.
The "flicker" usually indicates pressure differences between the brake systems. It is high time to do a complete flush anyway, recommended every 2 years.
Have a good volvo shop check all of the lines/bleeder valves for slight leaks after the flush. It is too early for the master cylinder.
