Sparkplugs 850 1995

1995 850 wagon...non turbo. Time for a tune up. Does it matter what sparkplugs I purchase? Any recommendations? What gap is proper?

With any car, it does matter what sparkplug is used. Without going into a lot of explanations, just purchase OEM and you can't go wrong.

I always use the Volvo spark plug from dealer. It does not need any gapping.

Check your car manual spec. or with your local auto parts supplier. Your auto parts supplier will crosscheck your car in their database for a different spark plug manufacturer. Not just any spark plug will do. Spark plugs are spec by their heat range and size. It is always a good idea to check the plug gaps when you get them.
