850 Trip Computer Problem? 850

Hello all,

I'm looking for some help with the trip computer on my '94 854 turbo. I recently removed the instrument cluster to replace a couple of burned out lights in it. Upon reinstalling it, the trip computer won't work. I'm certain I reconnected the trip computer cable (I double-checked it).

The screen just shows blank. If you turn on the lights, the screen lights up, so I assume it's getting power, but nothing is displayed.

Any ideas? Did I somehow fry it? Is there some other connector I should double-check? All other instruments are working fine.

Thanks in advance!

- Mark

Take it apart again and wiggle the cable. I suspect you have some sort of short. Don't put it back together again until you verify that it works. Something is either shorting or is loose. Don't know if you can plug the cable in upside down on an 850, but I'd check that too.
