PO 410 engine code secondary air injection S70

Hello all, I have been chasing this trouble code for a few weeks now and it seems to be taking longer to turn on now with a few replacement parts, but it still comes on after a 140 to a 170 miles of driving. It is driving me nuts!
I have replaced the check valve, I have cleaned the connector and checked the air pump. I have replaced the mounts on the air pump. I have checked the vacuum line to and from the solonoid. I have cleaned and lubed the connector to the solonoid. I have checked the solonoid to make sure it works. I replaced the O2 sensor because it was reading a little slow, so far the light still comes on. Anybody have any insight to this simple problem. Thanks, Pauli

Did you make the pump run?

With all the parts you've changed, seems to me that the only thing left is the air pump itself..

That works too! I have just changed the relay for the electric blower incase that is the problem. I will drive around for the next couple days and see if that will cure the elusive trouble code.

Have you checked the pump for water? The way the system is desigined (volvo engineers didn't figure in that water runs down hill), the pump gradually fills with water eventually shorting it out. As the water collects in the outflow section, you may have enough there to restrict flow. Just a thought. Mine has about a half pint of water inside before it shorted out so I know it had to be obstructing the outflow. Can try drilling 1/8th " drain hole and see what runs out or remove it and dump it out.
