HELP! vacuum hiss in dash, turbo guage dead after replacing dash lights-dangerous?? 850 1994

i must have knocked a hose loose when i was replacing instrument cluster bulbs on my 94 850 turbo. now i have a distinct hiss at idle and full throttle (but not at part throttle). is this potentially dangerous to my engine??? (lean??)

is there a turbo boost guage sending unit in there somewhere? sounds like that might be the issue, since the turbo boost guage is now steady, not moving at all. if so, exactly where is it? can i restart the car with the passenger side airbag disconnected to see if i can place the source while the dash top is off?? i was flying blind since i had never had the dash top or cluster out before so i am sure i must have screwed something up!!

Any help would be appreciated!!!

LOL. Not to worry. You just disconnected the vacuum line for the turbo guage in the instrument cluster.
Before you tear out the cluster to fix it, my hands are too big to reach up under the dash, disconnect the line under the hood release handle. I believe it is purple in color.

Klaus, if he disconnets the line, wouldn't he still need to cap the nipple to keep a vacuum leak from occuring, until he gets this all sorted?

Perhaps at full throttle, he will get a CEL. But no harm done. Besides, it doesn't take very long to get the cluster off just to connect the vacuum line.

Not sure about all the schematics but that's a vacuum line that's loose, so you will loose some turbo boost due to it not being connected and air tight.
