Front Fog Light Sockets (bulb holder) S70

Where can I buy the Front Fog Light Bulb Holders, it is the plastic socket that holds the H1 bulb and twists into the fog light housing? It apparently overheated and melted. New or Used, E-mail me at pkenter2@aol.com,Thanks Much, Phil

Why not buy it from your Volvo dealer? Wouldn't this be the simplest option by far? Your time is worth a lot.

Could be, if they even have the part. I've noticed lately that with some somewhat older parts, the dealer doesn't even have them (warehouse even doesn't have them in stock). By the way, the lamp socket part number is #8620226. You may have to buy the socket with the connecting wiring, but I'm not sure. Good luck and let us know how things turn out. If your local dealer can't get it, you might try calling www.fcpgroton.com's toll free number. They have amazed me in the past at being able to find parts that are hard to get.

Thanks for the part #, "madeinjapan", my dealer was the first place I tried and they told me sockets were not sold seperatly, only part of the Foglight Kit. Now I can try w/your part #. I have bought from FCP Groton in the past, and was very pleased.

Hope it works out....that's what I was afraid of....the FL kit. If groton doesn't come through, try Erievovo.com or several junk yards in your area. Someone is bound to have it and can take one off of a car. I will say that it will be much easier to probably get the wiring and all rather than just the socket...seem to recall that if you get it without wiring you'll be splicing wires...but not sure without looking under the front bumper on mine.

I'd call around to several junk yards. If that doesn't work, visit and call www.erievovo.com I would try to avoid buying it new if I could.

I have tried several times to buy from ERIE Volvo and they never returned e-mails and they were rude on the phone. I would rather drive w/out foglights then try to deal w/them again. But Thank You for your advice as always, I see your responses to a lot of posts and I have learned alot from your advice.

I seem to remember seeing unused fog light sockets (or were they just connectors) in the front wiring harness of my '99 S70AWD. My car doesn't have the fog lights. The sockets/connectors are just snapped into holes in the under-bumper air dam to keep them from dangling. Does this mean all the cars have fog light sockets pre-wired? If that's true, it should be very easy to find one at the junkyard.
