A/C problem fixed :) 850 1996

Turns out that there was something in the system(perhaps a "gift" from the dealership) which was preventing the a/c from working and causing higher than normal psi readings. My indie mechanic was able to blow it out, and the a/c is once again working strong. Have a splendid Tuesday one and all :)

I got to know what was left in the system 850 1996

I am having a similar problem after my replacement of evaporator.

Try taking it to your mechanic and have them test the refrigerant level and corresponding psi. On my parent's 850 it was inbetween 80 and 100, when it should have been considerably lower. After whatever got blown out was out of the system, the psi was once again normal, and the a/c has been blowing out cold air ever since :) Have a good one :)

I'm having trouble with my AC. I may have to evacuate and recharge the system. What should the pressure reading be and which line is the high pressure and which is the low? 1996 850 Turbo

        Thanks!

I'm glad it worked out...was beginning to worry that this car was a lemon and that your folks were stuck with a bummer car.
