2001 V70XC - Lower tail lamp replacement

Hi folks,
Well I have outlived my 240 and the wife wanted a V70XC. I have to change out the lower tail lamp - driver side. It looks like the moulding is in the way and i cannot get to the lower tail lamp through the speaker hole. I am afraid that the moulding will not go back neatly. Any tips on moulding removal?
Thanks
Jerry

And I thought you were just trying to replace a light bulb. To replace the rear lense, you must remove the molding. Lift the floor cover over the spare tire and put it to one side. Then remove the plastic molding at the bottom of the door, held down by 4 T25 screws. Lift up on the floor panel on the right side and then move the carpeted molding next to the liftgate. That should expose all of the screws you need to undo.

The engineers must have had small hands! Removing the lower cover doesn't help in letting you reach up? I would not remove the molding. A dealer installs them for "free" but you pay $10 for the bulb.
    Remember to replace both sides.

Truth be told, my wife broke the driver tail lamp. I have purchased a replacement lamp but how does one get to the nuts that hold the lamp to the body without breaking the moulding?
