Hello all -

I have an irritating problem. My driver's seat 'moves' slightly - at stops and starts. It's a power seat. I cannot, after HOURS of searching, find the source of the movement. If feels like something is loose - and seems to be located at the front right section of the assembly.

Currently, I have my seat disconnected and turned upside down. I can push and pull the rail and 'hear' it move ( click. click. click. ) but cannot see anything. I have tightened every nut/bolt I can find - no luck.

Is this a known issue? I'm going bananas. When I accelerate or lean, my seat shifts slightly.

Is the problem only identified in the electric seats? I have a similar concern with manual seats in my '98...... an annoyance more than anything.

Yes, this is a known problem. Volvo released a fix to take up the play in the tracks. It is a small shock absorber which bolts in under the seat. Dealer should have the kit and a copy of the instructions (TSB).
