2002 xc owners, i need your input

are these cars any good? not concerned about nitpicky complaints, want to know about major problems. my 850 only stranded me 4 or 5 times in 700000km, thats what i want to know about. thanks. merci. gracias. danka.

    Probably won't have the ETM as it's an '02. From '03 the XC's came with a new improved 4WD rear drive section...believe Haldex system, so if you can find an '03, even better. I would avoid '99-'01 altogether due to the ETM that's known to go bad, even stalling people out in busy intersections. '02 is pretty reputable. From '02 both XC's and V70's improved with each year!

      thanks midge. all im finding online are comments from people with 12000km or 2 months of driving. id like to hear from some peeps who have really used this baby.

          thanks again. ive been reading for hours on that site. the 850 started almost every morning for 6.5 years. man was it reliable. im really doubting the xc duplicating that feat. im reading a lot of horror stories.

            People tend to post when there are problems. Same as on here. So take that into consideration when reading these forums.
