How do I find the cabin air filter on my 1997 850? I see it is listed on the 90K maintenance list and I got one from the dealer but cannot find the old one in order to replace it. Thanks. Marty

you need to remove the plastic cover on the passenger side of the car under the windshield wiper.

Mine didnt have a filter so I bought the adapter and charcoal filter from fcp groton.

If it has one, i's under the cowl on the passenger side near the wiper post. You need to remove about 3 torx screws and it will lift high enough for you to see under. It'll be obvious if it's there. If not, you need a holder in addition to the filter. Groton sells both. Holder about $15.
