Loud howling from throttle body area.

The car seems to be running fine and there are no error codes but the loud noise is quite objectionable. It sounds like a weak horn. In fact I thought that was what it was at first. When I accelerate to the point that the throttle plate opens, the noise quits. I've tried spraying with carb cleaner to no avail.

I wanted to see if anyone here knows if this would be related to the throttle body itself or the IAC.I need to get it fixed as soon as I can.

Please help ASAP! I just got this car put back together for my wife and now it wails like a bansee ( the car, not my wife)(yet).

Thanks.

There is a gasket/O-ring between the TB and the air hose. It may have broken. The other cause could be a split in the IAC hose.

I would check for splits in your air intake hoses. You will have to bend the hose about to find the split.
