ECC diagnostic code 126 850 1994

I've been having the blinking lights on start up at the ECC and pulled the single 126 code yesterday. I haven't been able to find the explanation of that code any where and was wondering if any one else could tell me what it is and what the fix(es) might be. I go to run the AC and get nothing at all. I've only had the car since last October and really haven't tried to use it yet up until now. It may or may not have worked when I got the car, I don't know. I'm guilty of over looking it based on the overall condition, low price and the fact I was just looking for a winter beater to replace a 245. As it's turned out however, it's been running good enough that I've been using it as a daily driver and sparing my R from the Boston roads. So, now I have to get the AC running right.

Temp sensor on the passenger side open circuit or short circuit. That is behind the grab handle above the window.
They normally get dirty from dust and smoke and the little fan stops working. If you turn the ECC fan speed to manual, the AC should work unless the r134a is low.
