I just thought I'd post this so the next guy won't go crazy.

I had an issue with my sun roof one day. It wouldn't close. And it was going to rain. Uh-oh. I also found that several other things wouldn't work - the visor lights, the individual dome lights (although opening the door caused the lights to go on...), some of the windows wouldn't work, the electric door locks wouldn't work...

I started hunting for fuses, relays, etc. No blown fuses. No apparently fried relays. Under the dash I found one relay that seemed warm. When I noticed the lock problem I had a fleeting thought - wiggle the door key.

Voila!

Something about the switch in the door lock was sticking, draining the battery, screwing up the relay that controlled all those various items.

So - if you can't close your sun roof, check the door key.

Go figure.

    Funny follow up...

    The message I posted earlier today - I'd been thinking for months that I needed to send that message... The problem re-appeared TODAY. If it happens again I'll have to break down and fix the thing. But I'm afraid that it will involve replacing the funky key thing, and that would include some horrendous charge (like the $60 key, plus the service visit to enable it).
