Does anyone know who the manufacturer is for "volvo" timing belts? My dealer couldn't tell me. I need to replace mine seeing I'm at 105,000 miles. I purchased one though FCP and it is made by Conti (Germany). Is this the OEM supplier. I would hate to put in a belt that is not good for another 105,000 miles. Thanks, Jim ('99 V70)

If in doubt, why not buy one from a Volvo dealer? V70-XC70 1999

You can do that but you'll get the same belt described below and pay more.

I got a used v70 with 130K on original T-belt.
Guess what was the 1st thing I did ????
I won't go pass 70K or 7 years on any T-belt. Risc is way to big.

Very reputable TB mfg for Europe.
In fact, ContiTech supplies TB for virtually all Euro cars (Volvo, SAAB, MB, some BMW, Porsche etc.).

They also supply drive belts.

By all means use Contitech.

I replaced my TB with Conti TB a few years ago. It is as good as OEM.
