BILSTEIN SPORT for 850 GLT 850 1994

I am going to replace the shock absorbers and struts in my 850 GLT. I have selected Bilstein B6 Sport.

¿Any experience with this brand and model? ¿Are a good selection for a 850?

Thanks in advance.

    Bilstein is good stuff.

I installed the Kony Sport adjustables struts in the front and Bilstein HD shocks in the back.

For me- the best of both worlds.

Last summer I put in Bilstein HD all around at 110K. Love the change in ride and handling--firm but not hard. Excellent directional control improvement (no tendency for the front end to wander when going over bumps) Don't worry about the firm ride unless you like squishy--in that case get a Buick!

I've heard so many good things about bilstein when you put them in Volvo's. The touring are nice when you want a good soft smooth ride. The sports (HD's) are a bit rough, so I've heard. But I personally think that you can't go wrong with Bilstein's. Don't get me wrong, you can get better, but for your money, Bilsteins are the way to go.

Mine is 1997 850 GLT 124K. Recently I replaced all 4 with Bilstein Touring. Finding out it is little bit hard ride which may be due to the spring set. Can not compare with old one as they were totally bad when I bought this car.

Go with the Tourings, unless your young and don't care about teeth chipping from the jarring ride.

I added four touring units along with sway bars from IPD and couldn't be happier with the ride on my 97 855 GLT. Totally controlled ride and smooth when the road surface is. Currently running Toyo Proxes TPT tires (very nice tires for the car)
