S4o 2001 passenger seat S40-V40 2001

URGENT
Dear All,

What a wonderful site, lots of helpful information and some chuckles, too.
A former Saab driver (1986 900S 16-valve nearing 300K origmiles, swedish manufacture, still.Hummed and smiled all the way, save for that dreadful Mr.Rust in the door folds.Had to roll on its Gislaved.Sadly, I restate, for auto gave not one single headache,Exederin or otherwise)

And now to my enquiry: I cannot see out the rear passenger window for it is wholly blocked by the headrest of the passenger seat. Dealers approached all disinclined to touch it for fear of legal issues to follow.

It IS a safety issue, I say.
Seat has been positioned and repositioned every imaginable way, still no change.
Any practical ideas?

Thanx in advance

The mirrors on these cars are great, but otherwise visibility is poor. Usually the observasion is regarding reversing (can't see end of boot/trunk) and the A-pillars are too wide (ones next to windscreen). I am tall, never noticed the problem you describe. But understand it could be a problem if you are short (or shall I say "vertically challanged"?). The side mirrors should be sufficient, would not touch the head rests as they are important for when the air bag goes off...
