1995 850, leather seats, power seats for driver and passenger. Can I swap the seats, to even out the wear on the well-worn driver's and barely-used passenger seat?

I could live with the knob that adjusts the seat back tension being on wrong side... Wondering if the power seat controls can be moved to other side.

    You cannot "swap" seats from the passenger side to the driver side. The SIPS would be on the wrong side. And it will be difficult to rearrange the seat controls to have them facing the doors.
    It is possible to remove the bottom seat leathers and swap just that. Trying to move the upper leather will have the hole for the lumbar support facing the center of the car and requiring a new hole on the outsides.

        I did the seats for a 240, tops and bottoms. Not too difficult for the 850s. You will have to take the seats out of the car. Take the cover off the set controls, front goes up then slides back, and there is a little plastic gizmo inside the cover that goes around the airbag sensor. Then unplug the seat wires, unbolt and remove.
        The metal hog clips can be replaced with zip tie strips.

      Oh right, the airbags!! That definitely would not work.

      Thanks for the info, just what I needed. I may try swapping the seat bottom leathers, that is the only part showing wear.

    You cannot swap the seat complete, they have different style inner and outer rear anchor setups. I guess you could swap the upholstery from one seat to the other and only have the lumbar support holes to give you any grief.
