Cut bait or stick with it V70-XC70 2001

Bought this w/95k from a good customer of my mechanic. In six months, have had to replace engine mounts & front torque mount, catalytic converter and today the A/C/ failed initially but after a few minutes it did kick in. Will not go back until the A/C actually dies.

My question: is spending $1500+ in six months on parts that should not yet have worn out a sign of trouble or is this typical of this model. Was owner of '97 850 T-5 and I already miss it.

Thanks

First model year of any Volvo has been problematic. The XC in '01 was a revision and nothing like the '00 XC, so it was a new model year. Sort of heavy on the repairs, but once you get it all sorted, she'll probably be a decent car for you.

Mind you I have a 2000 XC, but I have stuck with mine to the tune of over $5K for each of the past two years. I like the car, but this is as much as a new car payment. I suppose that there are strategies to DIY on alot of these repairs and one could save a bit of money, but IMHO it never, ever ends....

I'll be using my energy to take care of my '90 244, which is a dream compared to the XC
