Blower Motor Not Working 850

Today I went to turn on the interior fan in my '96 GLT and it is totally dead. Before it quit working the fan had been making a little squealing noise at low speeds, but nothing that seemed too bad. Running the fan at higher speeds made the squealing totally disappear and it sounded quiet and fine. I checked the fuses and there are no problems. I don't really think that the fan died that quickly, but what else could cause it to quit working? Does it have a belt or something?

Thanks,

Pat

Download the 850 Service Manual (just look down in the topics and you'll see it further down). It has a great section in it for problem solving fan issues.
