Tried the heater yesterday and am getting warm air from the side vents and cold from the center vents. I know I am getting a code on the unit at start up, but does anyone have an idea of what the problem is? Sounds like some vent motor is not functioning properly, but which one?

    One easy check is the position of the center vent outside air control. Are you sure it is set to the closed position? It is the wheel to the left of the left side center vent control, and causes exactly this result.

      Blush!! It is wide open, so am learning. Guess the old 7 and 9 series were very simple. Anyway, next time it is cold in TX and I need the heater, I will try it. According to the blinking lights there is a problem, but really can not fault the system at this point.

    They have a pic or two of the vent control handle that tend to break off. LOL You still have the vent open for the outside air at the center vent?
    My 1995 just yelled at me about a vent problem, but wouldn't tell me which one!!

      Thanks, these jewels are rather different with all their sensors, motors and less than adequate pictures. Trouble shooting charts are all numbers rather that "if this happens, it is most likely this". Progress, with the right tools.
