FIXED THE PROBLEM,THE PLUG THAT CONNECTS THE ABS MOTOR TO THE MAIN WIRING HARNESS,DOES NOT FIT PROPERLY, AFTER SOME MOTOR COMMAND ACTIVITY ARCING/SPARKING OCCURS SENDING ADVERSE E.M.F. SPIKES DIRECTLY INTO THE A.B.S.UNIT.
DESPITE THE FACT THE CONNECTOR SHELL FITS PROPERLY, THE PINS ON THE MOTOR ASSY ARE NOT LONG ENOUGH TO MAKE ADIQUATE CONTACT WITH THE PINS ON THE CONNECTOR,
DURING THIS CONDITION ANY MOTOR COMMANDS,DUE TO TYRES NOT EVENLY INFLATED,ROAD HUMPS,ETC INCREASE THE PROBLEM.
THIS CONDITION ALSO EFFECTS THE AUTO GEARBOX E.C.U. AND CRUISE CONTROL.
WOULD BE INTRESTED IN ANY MORE POSTS FROM PEOPLE WITH THIS CONDITION,
ALSO IT IS ADVISABLE TO RENEW/CLEAN ALL THE CHASSIS EARTH POINTS I FOUND MANY TO BE VERY POOR, AND PAINT INSULATED FROM MANUFACTURE.
ANOTHER POINT OF INTREST,IS THE BATTERY VOLTAGE,ON ALL CARS FULL OF E.C.U. DRIVEN FUNCTIONS,ITS POSSIBLE THAT IF A WORN OUT BATTERY VOLTS DROPS TO BELOW 10 VOLTS ----YOU KNOW THE REST CHAOS/HADES.

    Thanks for the hint about the ABS connectors.
    As far as battery life goes, usually 5 years is long enough. Expect potential problems after that.
    I have found that around 9.5V, the starter will not work. All else LOOKS normal, just a click from the starter solenoid. While the car is running with the headlights on and the alternator suppling 14+ volts to a battery with a bad cell, you may be over using the alternator and the voltage regulator may begin to get damaged. When the battery is 5 years old, just trade it in for a new one.

      Please explain the best method to replace the battery.

        Disconnect it, take it out...put new one in and put the wires back on the new one. Very simple. Don't touch the wires together and don't hit the negative post while tightening the positive cable and vice versa. If yours has a hold-down, make sure and take it off first.
