Head rest S70 1998

Does anyone know how to remove the driver's seat head rest? I'd like to install a seat cover with making new holes in it. Thanx

Volvo does not suggest installing any covers over seats if you have the side impact air bags.

Why no covers? S70 1998

Do the air bags come out of the seat or out of the B column? Why no seat covers?

Yes, they come out of the upper side of the seats next to the window. This was before window curtain airbags.

There is a small area on the seat back, approx. 6 inches below the top where you push in to un latch the post. Two areas, one on each post. On mine the area to push in is almost to the area where the seat back curves downward toward the pocket area. Some times it is awkward to do as two sets of hands would be more convenient. Feel around for the sweet spot.
