How often should the timing belt tensioner be replaced?

    depends on tensioner. Mechanical every tbelt change. Hydraulic every other tbelt change (provided it isn't leaking).

    However, I replaced mine at 60K TB change so I can sleep better.
    Most people change them at the second TB change.
