Need anntenna mast 850

Where is the most cost effective place to get a mast for a 97 850 Turbo? Thanks.

FCP Groton seems to be reasonable. Before you replace your mast, undo the mast guide on the fender and see if the mast will go up and down. When mine refused to retract, I removed the guide and the mast worked fine. Got a new guide from the dealer and fixed the problem. There is an o ring in the guide that gets all full of gunk and creates so much friction the mast won't move. Replacing the guide (if that's the problem) is a simple cheap fix..

The nylon part of the mast is broken. It's free moving, just not by the motor. Done this before. The aftermarket ones seem to last 1 - 2 years. Oh well.
Thanks for the help.

If you are having to replace masts often, I would certainly put in a new guide--if it is causing undue friction on the outer (larger) mast section, the teeth on the linear mast gear can be expected to break..
