850 Exhaust and Cat 850

Replaced the muffler on the Wife's 93 850 because the pipe broke at the cat. Now the pipe is broken on the Cat side of the joint. Anyone come across a way to repair the Cat pipe without replacing the whole Cat? Thinking, does anyone sell a repair piece that bolts up to the Cat pipe at the muffler connection so the $300 cat replacement can be avoided.

I think you are going to be SOL on that one. The metal is probably going to be too thin to weld close.

why not just purchase and aftermarket cat? i knwo they are less than 70. The only issue with replacing the pipes will be making sure you can keep the O2 sensor.
