dash lights 850 1996

Am sure this is a redundant post. My search has come up empty. Have lost all the dash (instrument cluster) lights on a 96 850. Is this likely a fuse or am I going to spend the Christmas weekend pullin' the dang cluster? The (not very happy) lady of the house, the car and the owners manual are currently at another location (and it's dark). The tried and true shock method (fist to the dash) hasn't helped.

Did your dog or something hit the dimmer for the dash lights to the point they all go out? You know the slide thing that brightens or dims the dash lights?

Gwen,

Took your advise and checked the brightness control. Sure enough, it got moved. The wife has no idea how. Guess we'll chalk this one up to an "ID 10 error" aka IDIOT : ) Thanks again! As the old saying goes, check the obvious first. My Christmas just got a lot merrier! Hope you have one too!!
