Dumb Question: What does the snowflake light on the Dashboard mean? 850

i would assume you are talking about the snowflake that is in the climate control area. that is the signal for air conditioning switch, which when swtiched on turns a nice blue.
the little red dot (my '94 850) light in the instrument cluster near the temperture read out has no snowflake sign, which is what the rest of these posts are talking about.

Dumb Question: What does the snowflake light on the Dashboard mean? 850

Ah...it must be getting colder there! Maybe you'll have a white Christmas? It means the temp. outside has hit 36degrees F or below. At this temp, overpasses and bridges can freeze. It's an alert so you'll be aware of possibly dangerous driving conditions.

I think it goes off around 26 degrees. they figure if it's that cold out you should know. 1994-95 was red. then they changed it to yellow. I remember when my son borrowed my 94 he thought something was real wrong when it went on (red)at 36 degrees.

Dumb Question: What does the snowflake light on the Dashboard mean? 850

Shows what dealers know. The day (Jan 2005) I found my 850 (private seller) I first stopped at a nearby dealer and looked at a few. New to 850's, I asked them what the red light meant glowing on the dash of the two 850s I took for a drive. The service manager told me he would have to look at them - it was probably an alarm system that had been disabled. Sigh.
