I need a bulb for the manual climate control, so the backround is lit.
I was just at the dealer and the price is 17 for one bulb. The bulb is in a holder and does not appear to be removable. In fact I broke the bulb trying to get it out of the holder.

Is there another source (cheaper) for this?

    the bulbs are removable.

    usually just twist and remove. Yours must be seized in due to heat.

    You can find these bulbs at aftermarket auto suppliers.
