Custom front springs to raise height 850 1994

Just finished installing my custom springs to raise the front end on the above car. My son does home health and this gets him into a lot of not-so-good roads and a lot of dips at intersections. The nose was always plowing into dirt etc. so I decided to try something different. Most of the time we hear of lowering springs, but these I special ordered from Coil Spring Spring Specialists and they did a great job. The car sits more like an AWD and no more plowing dips and streets. Also, no more tire rub on fender wells and lips.

Just a FWI,

dick

Yes, we hear mostly about lowering, and I have always wondered why. On this car, that is. I got frustrated with the rubbing and went out and yanked on the fender a few months ago. Solved the problem (: I would consider raising mine as well.

I hope you put an IPD skid plate under the oil pan. Thanks for the good words, perhaps a pic or two?

The skid plate we have and will go on when I finish the RMS. Finding any special tools for holding the transmission is tough. Maybe you could run down to Owatonna and check with them. I see they are now part of SPX or Kent-Moore which makes Volvo special tools.
