Where is the Barometric pressure sensor S70 1998

Does anyone have any pics or description of where the barometric pressure sensor is on a 98 S70 GLT ?

Is this something a end user can replacec ?

-Fred

I've got a 740, so... Low tech, I know ;)

...But, what's the point in having a barometric sensor?

Different elevations below and above sea level make a difference as to air/fuel ratio. This sensor helps the Volvo ECU know how to make the mixture most efficient.

It is the sensor with the pink (actually, originally red, but faded) connector in front of the windshield washer tank (with blue cap)...see picture.

That is not something that normally fails. It is on the right side of the engine bay, attached to the wheel well or close to it. It is only about 1in square with an electric plug.
Are you sure it is not just a vacuum leak?

I am trusting a good wrench that I usually take my S70 to(its in to do the ECT and tstat) too cold here (13 f) and I have no garage..., I ask as I just had to replace the wifes totalled minivan, and I am just having a hard time keeping up, seems that my S70 wasnt as reliable as I first envision as I only have 130K on it, and I have done (and need to do) allot...
